A video collection of stills I took at Jim and Jeanene's 50th wedding anniversary party. Very dumbed down in quality for the web, sorry. Most of the shots of Jim are in the 2nd half.
Shosk in hmmm, 2000?
Kinders Steele (Remington Steele x Kinders Anna), as a newborn.
Jim and Kinders Steele, 2 months old.
A view of the house from the road in, Jim did most of the maintenance himself even before retirement.
The long driveway in from Hillside, adjoining the pastures.
Jim and Jeanene's showplace on Hillside in Norco, grass pasture is a complete rarity in town.
Jim and the "girls", mom Yeller and her two kids.
This '56 Chevy Bel Air was Jim's pride and joy. It had never been rained on. He'd souped it up twice, it was immaculate inside and out, won a lot of car shows, enjoyed driving it to them. This shot of mine was used for a T shirt for the Norco Lions Club car show, because the car had won best in show the year before. I think we shot this last winter, might've been the winter before.
We greet a small group of riders in the riverbed on a day when I shot Jim from behind as a virtual tour of the riverbed. Promotion for the ride. It was exciting to ride my mare without reins through the arundo "twisties", Jim and Bullet were good models. I think that's Tonya in the center, the others I didn't know.
Jim was pretty convinced that his favorite endurance saddle, no longer made, could be retrofitted with Reactor Panel technology. So that's just what he had done, it had to go to England for that! It was not a good thing for his wider horses though!
Jim and Dillon come into the stop and go at the top of the Norco Hills during the '99 Norco Riverdance Ride. The trail was down a hillside into a cul de sac, easy for the volunteers and crews to reach.
Jim and Dillon saunter across the finish line of the Norco Riverdance Ride 50, in 3rd place I think, 2001. There had been a brush fire, as you can see.
Jim came out to help with the first Bar H Boogie ride, 2003. That's Suzy Kelley to his left, Linda Morelli to his right/I think, Ken Herrera helping Linda, and Pete Davies to the far right.
2003 Bar H Boogie, vet 1. Barb Thomas hands her in time slip to Jim as he mans the P&R box. Looks like Cheryl Searer to his right in the vest.
HCC Shosk still "had it" at 30ish.
